Dr Stephen J. Hain Managing Director

Stephen established HAIN Consulting in 1989. His educational background includes a BE (University of Sydney) and a PhD (University of NSW) in Civil Engineering. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, the Australian Institute of Project Management, the Australian Institute of Training & Development & the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Stephen has over 30 years of professional experience in engineering and construction, the resources industry & consulting. His industry experience ranges from project and engineering management to management consulting and professional development.

Combining educational and practical backgrounds, he created HAIN Consulting, specialising in providing management consulting in three areas - Project Management, People Management & Business Management.

HAIN Consulting is focused on working with Resources and Professional Services companies. Our special focus is equipping people from a technical background to achieve improved project delivery and business performance. However, our stimulating and original techniques have been applied to other industries and people with a non-technical background.

HAIN Consulting’s understanding of the engineering, projects and resources business has led to assignments throughout Australia and the world. Programs have been delivered in Canada, Indonesia, Holland, Qatar, South Africa, South America, UAE, UK and USA.

HAIN Consulting has provided services to Clients in Chile, Peru, Columbia and other parts of South America since 2001. In 2004 HAIN Consulting (Chile) was formed to service the expanding needs of our Clients in Latin America. Claudia’s professional career commenced as an electrical engineer (Universidad de Chile) and includes an MBA and Master of Engineering Science in Electrical Engineering (University of Queensland). During her 20 years of project experience she has worked for Minera Escondida Chile, the World Bank in Mozambique and the Queensland Ministry for Education and the Arts.

As an independent consultant Claudia has worked on SAP Implementation projects for BHP Billiton in the Americas and provided services to ARA Worley Parsons, SNC-Lavalin, HATCH, Samarco, Terra, SAME, Drillco, Chilarom S.A. and others. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Through its offices HAIN Consulting is able to supply Clients with a diverse range of consultants with project management, business management and professional development expertise. Our mission is long-term high value add business relationships with our Clients.
